No sound comes out.
There is several possible reasons. Please check the followings.
- Sound volume of Windows® operating system is set small.
- Headphones is not connected correctly.
- Missing 3-D sound processing preparation (in this case, it will be improved by restariting the application).
- At Windows® Vista, the icon is registered in the Start Menu, and started from the menu (in this case, it will be improved by starting from the execution file of the application).
- Items inside of WR-AOTS-210 folder was removed (in this case, it will be improved by returning them).

It takes long time to start sounds.
If it is the first time for the application to run since the Windows® operating system started, it may takes at longest two minutes to start sounds after Run button is pushed. This is because the application needs to prepare the 3-D sound processing at the first time, and it is not bug. You can start quickly in the second time and after. We are now trying to improve the starting time. When we can find the solution, you will be informed the guidance of update.

Noise breaks out during running.
In Windows® Vista, the sound will be interrapted. Windows® 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 are recommomended.

Sounds can not be heard as 3-D sounds.
3-D effect is depending on individual. We are now trying to improve this problem. When we can find the solution, you will be informed the guidance of update.

Reflected sound from wall cannot be heard.
The Wall now can reflect only ambient sounds coming from distant places. For the Sounds in the training field, they can be insulated, but not reflected by Walls. We will try to improve this.
On the other hand, if the trainee hardly perform the obstacle sense (cannot feel oppressive feeling), please try Sound Field for Obstacle Perception Training for basic training.

The reflected sound of footstep or cane tapping sound are not reproduced. We will try to improve this.

Wii® Remote Plus Controller™ does not work.
Please make sure that your Wii® Remote Plus Controller™ is the 3rd generation. When you connect the 3rd generation to Bluetooth, you can see its name
Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-TR
on the display. If other name (e.g.Nintendo RVL-CNT-01
) is displayed, it is the 2nd and before generation. WR-AOTS™ 2.10 cannot use the 2nd and before generation. It also must be noted that, if you connect via the built-in Bluetooth in PC, you cannot use in almost cases even if it can be connected. Please use the recommended Bluetooth adapter and/or applicaton. -
Unstable movement of the trainee in the training field occurs when Wii® Remote Plus Controller™ is used.
Output of acceleration sensor in Wii® Remote Plus Controller™ includes large error, and it cannot be used for measuring movement of the trainee's walk yet. We are now trying to improve the software. When we can find the solution, you will be informed the guidance of update.

Application software sometimes cannot quit normally.

Application will freeze when Calibration button is pushed.
If you push Calibration or Run button when GPS or Wii checkbox is checked and GPS or Wii® Remote Plus Controller™ is not connected, application will freeze. Please make sure your setting is correct.

Error occurs when application is activated.
If the error message
The program can't start because MSVCR140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

Characters of file names are garbled when ZIP file is extracted.
If the WR-AOTS-210.zip is extracted by the extractor that cannot use file name of UTF-8, the characters of the file names may be garbled. Please use ZIP extractor that can use file name of UTF-8. The following extractor is recommended.

About anti-virus of software.
Whole distributing software has been checked by the latest version of anti-virus software McAfee® VirusScan® before ZIP compression. You can use it without anxiety.

The Manuals use JavaScript™ to control links for images. Please make sure that your browser's settings of JavaScript™ is enable.

About closing source code.
The software contains many technologies developed by RIEC and many research institutes with huge amount of research funds. They agreed to distribute the software free of charge in the condition that this is used for the blind people. If the source code is opened, we are afraid that their technologies may be extracted from the software and may be used for other purposes. Thus the source code cannot be opened.

About position in O&M training.
Wide-Range Auditory Orientation Training System is a sound simulator of orientation and mobility environment for beginners. It is just like a driving simulator in a driving school, and not for complete O&M training. Combination with training in real environment is required.
