If you have any training field data files that you added by Ver. 2.06 Edit window etc., please copy them from the Lessons folder of WR-AOTS-206 to that of WR-AOTS-207. You can store them at the English folder in the Lessons folder to contain your English training field data.
* If you stored your training field data files at other folders except the Lessons folder of WR-AOTS-206, this procedure is not required.
If you have any sound data files that you added at Ver. 2.06, please copy them from the Sounds folder of WR-AOTS-206 to that of WR-AOTS-207. Otherwise, you cannot use them at Ver. 2.07.
There are the following five modifications in this update.
Turning of the Sound became possible.
In Ver. 2.06 and before, the Sound can move only straight in constant velocity.
In Ver. 2.07, the Sound can turn. The situation where a car turns a curve can be reproduced by this improvement. The training to detect a crossroad by using car running sound can be performed.
In Ver. 2.06 and before, volume of the Sound cannot be controlled.
In Ver. 2.07, the volume can be controlled. It is possible that specific Sound is loud and other Sounds are small. The difficulty of the listening training can be adjusted by controlling volumes.
Kind, direction, and volume control of the Ambient sounds became possible.
In Ver. 2.06 and before, kind, direction, and volume of the ambient sounds cannot be changed.
In Ver. 2.07, these can be controlled.
For the kind of the Ambient sound, constant white noise (that includes all frequency component) and pink noise (lower frequency is stronger) can be selected as well as conventional town noise. They are suitable for the novice trainee, who feels difficulty to use complex town noise, to learn how to listen to the specific sound in the ambient noises, or acquire the obstacle perception by using reflection and/or insulation of the ambient sounds.
For the direction of the Ambient sound, as well as the four points of the compass, two directions or one direction can also be selected. Generally, wall can be detected easier as less direction. Thus, they are suitable for the novice trainee.
The volume of the Ambient sound can be controlled. The difficulty of the training for listening to specific sound in ambient sounds can be adjusted.
Reproductions of reflection and insulation was improved.
In Ver. 2.06 and before, reproductions of reflection and insulation were not appropriate.
In Ver. 2.07, they were improved and are intelligible for the novice trainee. The lesson of the obstacle perception can be performed easier by this improvement.
Malfunctions of the Save and Load of the training field were modified.
In Ver. 2.06 and before, there were some malfunctions in the Save and Load of the training field XML files (these malfunctions do not influence upon the software function).
In Ver. 2.07, they were modified.
