Molecular Template

Characterictics

Anchoring and subsequently addressing molecular machines on surfaces is critical to the successful interfacing of nanomechanical systems with the macroscopic world. We have proposed a technique to immobilize functionalized molecules and to form their ordered structures on substrates, which we call the molecular template method. To control the structures of molecular templates, we examine the possibility of using phthalocyanine derivatives as molecular templates.
