Introduction
It is great pleasure to announce that Sound Field CD for Obstacle Perception Training Ver. 1.0 (Training CD 1.0) has been released. It is the revised version of Sound Field CD for Obstacle Perception Training Ver. 0.0 (Training CD 0.0) released in the fall of 2001. I shall be happy if Training CD 1.0 can be useful learning material for beginners in obstacle perception training as well as Training CD 0.0.
Training CD 0.0 was a so-called database containing many situations assuming various scene of encountering objects. For Training CD 1.0, the sound data that are not useful for actual training are removed, and more useful situations are supplied.
Training CD 1.0 is distributed free of charge to people concerned with the blind as well as Training CD 0.0. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me. Please try Training CD 1.0, and return any opinions, requests, or criticisms. I would be very happy if Training CD 1.0 can be of help to obstacle perception training in the blind education or rehabilitation.
