Profile
Makoto Yamauchi received his BS degree in astronomical physics from Kyoto
University, Japan, in 1986. He worked on interferometric straightness measurement
and medical imaging at the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory (MEL), Japan.
MEL was reorganized into AIST in 2001 where he worked on real-time holography
and interferometry using liquid crystal spatial light modulators. He received
a Ph. D degree from Shizuoka University in 2006. After that he made research
works on diffractive optical elements made by electron-beam writing and
interactive support system using head-mounted displays. He is now a coordinator
