Pseudogap in Cuprate Superconductors

The high temperature superconductors exhibit significant properties in the normal state of underdoped region. The electronic state in this region is called the anomalous metallic state. Anomalous properties in the underdoped region may be related to the pseudogap. The pseudogap indicates a gap-like feature in the density of states. The origin of the pseudogap is not yet clarified.
