Outline of the Project

Problems caused by manufacturing artifacts, such as resource exhaustion, waste treatment, global warming, etc., are becoming more serious. To produce environment conscious products, we must take account of material, energy load, manufacturing stages, durability, disassemble, recycle, etc., from the early stage of design. However a design method that will reduce environment load is not established yet. In this study, we study conceptual and embodiment design methods that will reduce produce components, manufacturing energy and material, then develop an environment conscious design system. We will also propose a three dimensional grinding surface data analysis method to establish an evaluation method for grinding conditions.
