GRACE-I
This is
GRACE (stands for Gikadai Robot for Attendance in Complex Environments, named by Prof. Miura who
was my supervisor) that I used during my master's and Ph.D. period for some researches related to person
identification and awareness estimation.
GRACE was equipped with quite rich vision and range sensors
(PTZ-cam, wide-angle webcams, two-layered omni LIDARs) and an omnidirectional base. This was one of my most
memorable robots because I spent many years (more or less five years) working with her. Although her behavior
was not really
graceful (maybe my fault), she helped my work very much.
