u       Personal Information (Education and Research Experience)

u       Recent Research Interests

1.      Theoretical studies of strongly correlated systems such as transition-metal oxides.  Among several possible subjects, I am particularly interested in the atomic structures and electronic structures at surfaces and interfaces.

2.      Theoretical studies of chemical reactions in complex systems such as heterogeneous catalysis, reactions in solution, enzyme and so on.

3.      Theoretical studies of nano-science and technology.  We are aiming to promote research activities in the study of self-organization and electronic properties of nano-size objects.
