Tsubasa Tomoto, Ph.D., is a Senior Researcher in the Physiological Informatics Research Team, Integrated Research Center for Self-Care Technology, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan.
He received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Athletic Training from West Virginia Wesleyan College, USA, and became a certified athletic trainer in the United States in 2011. He earned his Ph.D. in Sports Medicine from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
Dr. Tomoto completed postdoctoral training in cardiovascular physiology through the AIST Innovation School and subsequently conducted research in cerebrovascular physiology at the Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine (IEEM), University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, USA.
His research focuses on the effects of aging and physical activity on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular function. More recently, his work has explored effective exercise interventions for maintaining and improving brain health across the lifespan.
