OBJECTIVE


The goal of the Workshop is to provide a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas among researchers aiming at the design and implementation of simulation and robotic systems to support search and rescue operations after catastrophic events in urban environments, in particular in post-earthquake scenarios.

PAPER SUBMISSION


Please send a PDF file of a full paper within 6 pages (for a long paper), or an abstract with 1 page (for a short paper) by e-mail to Itsuki Noda (srmed2007@m.aist.go.jp).

The deadline is June 15, 2007.


POSTER PRESENTATION


All papers are also presented by posters. Accepted authors should make posters, and display one poster in the competition field area.


PANEL DISCUSSION


We also plan to have a panel discussion about topics on rescue-related technologies and research issues. If you have topics for the discussion, please e-mail to Itsuki Noda (srmed2007@m.aist.go.jp) in any format.
