Wave Functions of Correlated-Electron State in
the Periodic Anderson Model
Abstract
We investigate the periodic Anderson model by a variational Monte Carlo method.
A new wave function is proposed based on the well-known Gutzwiller wave
function. We calculated the physical properties by using the Monte Carlo
algorithm to consider the strong correlation effects. The ground state
energy is improved considerably by taking into account electron-hole
excitation effects.
