How to make material holders
1. Wash your sand and remove clay and silt using tea strainer and so on.
Dry it completely.
2. Cut the cardboard in proper size. (ex. 5cm * 3cm)
3. In order to observe sand shape, put proper colored papers in the back of the sand.
Images for example, from left to right: white background, gray background, black background, and samples from top to bottom: transparent quartz sand, olivine sand, iron sand.
4. Cut double-coated tape and stick it on the cardboard.
Now you have a material holder.
5. After preparing your sand, peel off the other side of the tape.
6. Press the holder on your sand.
7. Dab lightly to remove extra particles.
8. Label it.
9. Keep it in a plastic bag to avoid dust.
