Koshimizu Beach, Koshimizu, Shari-gun, Hokkaido, Japan

This sand is moderately sorted and coarse/very coarse sand (0.4-2.0mm in diameter).  It consists of quartz and smaller amount of chert, shale, sandstone and so on.  The grains are rounded.  The transparent grains of quartz are beautiful.
