Boulders Beach, Cape Peninsula, Western Cape province, South Africa

This beach is a popular tourist place because of a colony of Jackass Penguins.  This white sand is well-sorted medium sand (0.2-0.5mm in diameter).  It consists of quartz with very small amount of seashells or sea urchine spines.
