French Beach, Shirley (Vancouver Island), British Columbia Province, Canada

This greenish gray material is the mixture of well-sorted medium sand (less than 0.5mm in diameter) and gravel (1.2-4.0mm in diameter).  It consists of siliceous sandstone and shale with small amount of brown siliceous rocks and chert.  The grains are well rounded.
