Minamikubo Park, Yoshimura-cho, Miyazaki-city, Miyazaki, Japan

This sand was picked up at one of old dunes.  It is moderately sorted medium/coarse sand (less than 1mm in diameter) with some large grains (less than 3mm in diameter).  It consists of sandstone and shale with smaller amount of quartz and siliceous rocks.  The grains are moderately rounded.
