Nuevo Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico

Puerto means "Port", and it has a very large resorts area now.  This grayish white sand is moderately sorted coarse sand (0.1-1.2mm in diameter).  It consists of quartz, feldspar, fragments of granite and so on.  Generally the grains are sub-angular while the large ones are rounded.
