Jogashima (No.3), Miura-city, Kanagawa, Japan

This sand was picked up at stony part of the shore.  It is poorly sorted sand/gravel (0.8-5mm in diameter).  It consists of black basalt and remains of living things such as seashells, sea uchins and corals.  There is small amount of shale or rhyolite.
