Rapa Nui National Park, Isla de Pascua (the Easter Island), Chile
Pascua Island is famous for its numerous moai, the stone statues, and it was registered as one of the World Heritages in 1995. This beach sand is coarse (less than 2.0mm in diameter), and moderately sorted. It is light pink and consists of seashells, coral, the remains of foraminifers, sea uchin spines and small amount of gray basalt.
