Umi-no-Kōen, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama-city, Kanagawa, Japan

This is an artificial beach, and the sand was transported from Futtsu-city, Chiba Prefecture.  It is coarse (less than 4.5mm in diameter) and poorly sorted.  It consists of quartz, chert, sandstone, pumice, shale and so on.  Most of the grains are hard and well-rounded.
