Stanley Beach, Hong Kong, China

This is very coarse sand/gravel (2.5mm or less in diameter), and it is poorly sorted.  It consists of quartz and fragments of granite with smaller amounts of feldspar.  It does not look like beach sand because the grains are poorly rounded.  It might be river sand transfered from somewhere else.
