Pakknam, Amphoe Lang Suan, Chumphon, Thailand

This light brown medium beach sand (0.2-0.5mm in diameter) was picked up at a small fishing village facing the Gulf of Thailand in the southern part of this country.  The grains are moderately sorted and mixed with large grains (2mm or less in diameter).  They are mostly quartz and you can find some dark brown grains.
