Sand pit (No.1) in Le Quiou, Bretagne, Cotes-d'Armor, France

This fossil sand is from a layer that formed at 15 million years ago.  It is coarse sand (1.2mm or less in diameter) mixed with silt.  It consists of mostly seashells and coral with a few grains of quartz.
