Fushigoe-no-hana, Toyo, Aki, Kochi, Japan
It is hard to walk across this beach for pilgrims of Shikoku because there is a stretch of large boulders on gravel, and what's more, the rough waves prevent them from crossing the beach. This dark gray sand is coarse/very coarse-sized, moderately sorted. The grains are 0.5-2.0mm in diameter. It consists of sandstone, shale, chert and quartz with smaller amounts of seashells.
