Tower Beach, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

This gray sand was picked up at a beach near Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia.  It is medium/coarse-sized sand, and poorly sorted.  The grains are 0.2-2mm in diameter.  They are various fragments such as sandstone, shale, chert, quartz, granite and so on.
