Volcanic ashes of Mt.Vesuvio (erupted in 472)
Picked in Somma Vesuviana, di Napoli, Regione Campania, the Italian Republic
It was picked up at the foot of Monte Somma (1,132m) which is a somma of Monte Vesuvio (1,281m).  Since it was caked with fine ashes, we washed it off using supersonic wave.  Most of the grains are the fragments of porous andesite, and there are some grains of clear quartz and olivin.
