La Paz, Estado de Baja California Sur, Mexico

This white sand was picked up at a beach near La Paz that is southernmost of the Peninsula of California.  It consists of quartz, granite, feldspar, biotite and so on with small amounts of fragments of seashells.  The grains are 3mm or less in diameter and they are rounded.
