Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka, Russian Federation

This sand was picked up at the beach facing the Pacific.  It is dark gray medium/coarse-sized sand.  It consists of andesite, feldspar, pyroxene, quartz, olivine and so on.  The grains are 0.3-0.8mm in diameter, and they are well rounded.
