Kajigahama (Shimokamagari Island), Shimokamagari, Aki, Hiroshima, Japan

This sand is a compound made up of the grains of medium sand (1.0mm or less in diameter) and gravel 2.0-4.0mm in diameter.  The most of the grains are quartz or feldspar, and some of them are black siliceous rocks or fragments of granite.  Some large grains are rounded but most of them are angular.
