Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico

This bright brown sand is medium/coarse-sized (0.2-1.0mm in diameter) and the largest grains are about 3.0mm in diameter.  It consists of mostly seashells with smaller amounts of brown siliceous rocks and volcanic rocks.  The grains of volcanic rocks are rounded.
