Ama-no-Hashidate (north, outside), Miyazu-city, Kyoto, Japan
Ama-no-hashidate is a sandbar (3.6 kilometer long) spanning across Miyazu Bay. This sand/gravel is moderately sorted (0.3-4.5mm in diameter). It consists of mostly quartz and feldspar with smaller amounts of sandstone, shale and brown siliceous rocks. Large grains are well rounded.
