Yunokawa Hot Springs, Hakodate-city, Hokkaido, Japan

This beach sand was picked up at the mouth of Yunokawa River.  It is coarse (2.0mm or less in diameter), and it consists of feldspar, quartz, pumice, chert, sandstone and shale.  The large grains consists mostly pumiceous.
