Sashima, Yokosuka-city, Kanagawa, Japan

This sand is fine/medium-sized (0.2-0.6mm in diameter) with smaller amounts of gravel or very coarse grains (3mm or less in diameter).  It is composed of quartz, chert, basalt and sandstone.  Some coarse grains of chert are well rounded.
