Takahama Beach, Kashiwazaki, Niigata, Japan

This is medium/coarse-sized sand (0.2-2mm in diameter).  It consists of well rounded chert, sort of volcanic rock, quartz, sandstone and so on.  In comparison with Kamiwa Beach, this sand doesn't have so many grains of the black volcanic rocks, so it looks brighter.
