Profile

Naoyuki Ichimura is a computer scientist at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. He received his B.E. degree in communication engineering in 1989 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering in 1991 and 1996, respectively, all from the University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan. He was a visiting scholar in the Department of Computer Science at Columbia University for two years beginning in 2002. His research interests include machine learning, computer vision, and signal processing. He is a member of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) in Japan.
