Halogen exchange reactions of nine perfluoroacyl fluorides into acyl chlorides, bromides and iodides were successfully achieved by use of anhydrous lithium halides in high yields. Temperature dependence of this reaction was also described. In the case of the reaction with perfluorodiacyl fluoride, the diacyl halides possessing different acyl-halide-group were also produced. This halogen exchange reactions were successful only with lithium salts among alkaline metal salts because of the interaction of lithium and fluorine.
